The one that makes me lmao is the one that says for those who experienced a Creed 2012 show and were expecting a laid back performance the Scott show on Friday set out to be a little more intense. LMFAO! I love stappy but my gosh what the hell dude! What crossed your mind to take that put it on a pic of yourself and tweet it out and put it on facebook?
All he had to do was go be a solo artist and have some fun with his new music. But no, he has to take Creed pages over because having his own pages isn't enough. He has to take Creeds music and have it played like crap because his new music isn't enough to go have a solo tour with? Please tell me what thought processes are going on in his brain? How is this helpful to Creed? How is this allowing the "organic process" (his words) to start which will draw them back to wanting to create new Creed music? All you are doing is fucking with what Creed is and has been to generations of fans. Go be a solo artist and allow Creed to stay what it means to people, stop tainting that with this nonsense put all over Creed fb. You have pages for Scott Stapp, you have a hired band for your solo tour, you have new solo music, leave Creed pages and music alone and go do your solo thing.
When I first saw one of those pics with the words all over it, I thought it was fan made. Then later after another one was posted I got it, Scott was the one putting them up about himself. I was cringing when it started to go on Creed facebook too. I honestly don't know what to think anymore. I don't see why he thinks it's cool to pull Creed into what he is doing when Creed has nothing to do with it. I thought it was cool that he was going to be doing a 2nd solo project but it's like it has never become that because he is pulling Creed into something constantly that Creed has zero to do with.
The problem for me is that Creed is something seperate from the solo work they do and the other bands but he doesn't separate it. When you are in Creed mode you do Creed, when Creed is off you don't. I don't think any fan base of any band that is established and imprinted on people (so much so, that they know every little thing that happens in a Creed song when they play the songs live) would like the music taken outside of the band over and over again. You know when Mark is going to do something on his guitar during certian verses that Scott is going to sing and so on. You really can't take that away from your fans. But Scott keeps trying to each time he goes out "solo". No matter who you hire the music will never sound right to the fans because it's not Creed performing, it's a hired band doing covers of Creed's music.
He has yet to become a real solo artist. I think many people were thinking he finally was going to do that with getting this second solo album out, but he didn't. I think that along with the Creed page take over has created a lot of hurt for the fans. It's like taking something sacred to people and messing with it. He really should become a solo artist and not have that part of his career have anything to do with Creed. The guys do things totally apart from Creed, so should Scott with his solo project. I dont understand why he has not done that. Plus I think the fans view what he is doing by using Creed pages for himself as another thing that creates division instead of unity with the Creed guys. I wish he would stop doing it.
It never made sense to me that he kept trying to be a member of Creed when he was off doing solo work. Maybe he sees his whole identity as a member of Creed and cannot make something new? Like Creed is his crutch maybe? I think he should stay off Creed's facebook and any other sites that are supposed to be about Creed. It creates too much tension, drama and blah.
This topic sure is off, it's supposed to be about Creed's label ha!
Back onto the thread topic here, has anyone in Creed said anything about what label Creed is on now? I see this bicycle concord thing more as transitional. They didn't set out to get Creed they bought a bunch on things off wind up. Creed should be with a label that wants them specifically.
